For the submission of a motivated rental request for one of Cas-co’s studio spaces, please send us your CV, portfolio and motivation with full name and contact details to info@cas-co.be or post to :

 Your application consists of the following elements:

1. an application form, filled in online
2. following documents: 

- a biography including an overview of past exhibitions, texts, and residencies (if applicable).
- a representative portfolio of your visual work.

 

For video work:

- digital application: weblinks to online video
- application by e-mail: USB or DVD (only containing video material)

 

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration and will not be shown to the committee.Application files will not be returned to the artist.

Intended for professional visual artist or starting graduated artist with ambitions for the further development of a professional practice.

Applications can be submitted at any time; the selection procedure will take place periodically.

The deadline for our next selection procedure is 1/6/2017.

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE

A selection committee consisting of members of the contemporary art scene will evaluate the submitted applications. Based on the decision of the committee, selected artists will be granted a studio rental contract. The decision cannot be appealed, and unselected applicants will not be given feedback regarding the content of their application.

 

ASSIGNMENT PROCEDURE

Selected artists can start using the studio immediately or on the agreed date. In case all studios are in use, the selected artist will be put on a waiting list. As soon as a studio space opens up, the next artist in line will be contacted by Cas-co. The artist’s preferences and needs as stated in the application form will be taken into consideration as much as possible. However, Cas-co reserves the right to decide which studio and time period are most fitting for the selected artist. The selected candidate will be invited for a meeting to discuss practical matters. During this meeting a rental contract will be signed.

PROPOSAL FOR the n+1  PROJECT SPACE

For the submission of a proposal for the N+1 Project Space, please fill in the application form and send CV, portfolio and project plan to info@cas-co.be or by post to:

In order to be taken into consideration, your application should consist of the following elements:

1. an application form, filled in online

2. following documents:

 

- a biography including an overview of past exhibitions, texts, and residencies (if applicable).
- a representative portfolio of your visual work.
- pictures and/or video footage regarding the proposed project/research and exhibition.

For video work:

- digital application: weblinks to online video

- application by e-mail: USB or DVD (only containing video material)

Applications can be submitted at any time; the selection procedure will take place periodically.

The deadline for our next selection procedure (for 2018-2019) is 1/06/2017.

The decision cannot be appealed, and unselected applicants will not be given feedback regarding the content of their application.

The artist’s preferences and needs as stated in the application form will be taken into consideration as much as possible. However, Cas-co reserves the right to decide which time period is most fitting for the selected artist. The selected candidate will be invited for a meeting to discuss practical matters.
